But they scam your mail box in plenty. Mostly they are fake gift certificates, actually there are some criminals behind all these activity who running scam on the name of famous company for gaining viewers faith.
How one comes to know:
It is easy. One must understand a fact that, no one is sitting to give free gift for doing nothing. If you have got some unexpected mail of gift for doing nothing, means there is some odd.
How it goes:
Scammer use to send thousands of mail daily thinking one or some other day they will able to make victim.
What’s their Aim?
Simple, most of them have aim of getting advance fee / money from your side.
How they get money:
They will give some options like:
- Pay by Credit / Debit Card
- Pay on delivery
First thing is – never go for pay by Credit / Debit Card option on unknown site or company offers and if you do you do it on own risk because after taking your money they will never reply back and also you will not able to trace them. Actually this is an easy option for scammer’s, with advantage-minimum risk for trace out.
If opt for pay on delivery option then one have to give his identity like address, phone number and email Id’s to them which will become input to scammer’s for next scam. This will give them opportunity to spam mailbox as well as phone sms. Actually these criminals are linked with many others and they use to share these identity.
Many times it may possible that they will send some sealed packet at given address which contain useless item and you will pay for it and so money will go to them.
Why these incident repeat:
Human nature is such that they forgot all with time. That is why incidents repeat again and again.
